About the role

  • Define and execute the engineering vision and technical strategy, working together with the leadership team in alignment with picdrop’s product and business goals
  • Oversee platform architecture with a strong focus on scalability, performance, security, and long-term maintainability
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the engineering organization, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Support and grow existing team leads, ensuring clear roles, strong leadership alignment, and long-term team stability
  • Drive execution excellence across the full development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality, timely, and reliable delivery together with Product
  • Ensure operational excellence across engineering, including delivery processes, technical quality, and cost-aware decision-making
  • Partner closely with Product, Customer Success, Marketing, and leadership to translate customer and business needs into technical solutions

Requirements

  • Proven experience of leading engineering teams in a SaaS environment, including senior front-end, back-end and full-stack developers.
  • Strong background in platform architecture and operating large, storagedata-heavy, high-availability systems
  • Experience working with B2B customers and understanding enterprise requirements such as security, compliance, and scalability
  • Hands-on technical credibility with the ability to guide architectural decisions without being a day-to-day coding bottleneck
  • Experience with modern development processes and delivery frameworks (experience with Shape Up is a strong plus)
