About the role
- Professional and disciplinary leadership of the staff of the Committees Secretariat in accordance with the Saarländischer Rundfunk leadership principles

- Responsibility for the full range of tasks of the Committees Secretariat
- Supporting and advising the chairs of the Broadcast Council and the Administrative Council on all committee matters, including preparing the chairs’ correspondence
- Preparation and support of elections
- Preparing position papers, including on legal and broadcasting policy matters
- Substantive preparation of meetings of the Broadcast Council and the Administrative Council as well as their committees and the ARD Committee Representatives’ Conference
- Coordinating, preparing and drafting briefing papers for the committees’ decision-making
- Substantive and organizational preparation of committee workshops
- Taking minutes of Administrative Council meetings and various committees of the Broadcast Council
- Coordination of (program) complaints
Requirements
- A completed university degree, preferably in law
- Experience in public-service broadcasting and in working with committees or supervisory bodies is an advantage
- Proven experience in staff management is desirable
- Strong communication skills, including decisiveness, ability to accept criticism, conflict-resolution skills and diplomatic strength
- Strong decision-making and judgment skills
- Situational sensitivity and confident handling of differing interests
- Methodological skills (e.g. organization, delegation, setting and pursuing goals)
- Personal competencies (e.g. self-reflection, personal responsibility, self-organization and adaptability)
- Openness to change
- Strong team orientation
- Resilience and ability to work under high time pressure
