About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as the SME for EVM and demonstrate leadership in Project Planning & Controls across the CSI-IPT Enterprise.
- Maintain and upkeep the CSI-IPT EVMP and EVMS, including all relevant processes, systems and tools.
- Develop, maintain and drive the monthly EVM reporting drumbeat ensuring compliance.
- Support CSI-IPT reporting activities, internal and external reviews in relation to EVM and Project Planning & Controls.
- Ensure consistency of EVM practices between all Programs and Tasking Statements within the CSI-IPT.
- Lead a team of Project Planning and Controls professionals to ensure programs and portfolios of Tasking Statements are serviced and supported.
- Manage the Project Planning & Controls capability within the CSI-IPT and encourage continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Interface with Industry Participants to ensure consistence and alignment of processes, tools, and practices.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Tertiary qualification(s) in a relevant discipline (mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field etc.), and/or equivalent relevant experience (preferably within the defence industry).
- Up to 4 years’ experience in Engineering experience prior to this role.
- Practitioner’s level of experience in the fields of Systems Engineering (i.e. Requirements Management, System Architecture, Systems Integration, and/or Verification and Validation).
- Sound understanding of systems engineering principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using systems engineering software tools and simulation environments (e.g. DOORS, Cameo Systems Modeler).
- Familiarity with complex systems (e.g. military systems) or related defence technologies (desirable).
- Familiarity of System Engineering in an ASDEFCON context (desirable).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain a NV1 security clearance.
