About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Contribute to the execution of HCF Combat System Segment Specification (CSSS) development activities
- Participate in a range of systems engineering activities and work with a diverse range of stakeholders in the CSI-IPT, Maritime Integrated Warfare Systems (MIWS) and external partners
- Review and modify CSSS requirements
- Conduct requirement tracing to parent specifications and requirement allocations to products and product specifications
- Evolve the CSSS VCRM and traceability matrices
- Support the development of the HCF CSSS, VCRM and traceability matrices.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, etc.
- Requirements management, system architecture, systems integration, and/or verification and validation
- Sound understanding of systems engineering principles and practices
- Familiarity with complex systems (e.g. military systems) or related defence technologies (desirable)
- Familiarity of system engineering in an ASDEFCON context (desirable)
- Proficiency in using systems engineering software tools and simulation environments (e.g. DOORS, Cameo Systems Modeler)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving
- Excellent communication and teamwork
- Communicating technical information in both written and verbal forms
- Adapting to fast-paced and dynamic work environments
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
- Applicants need to be Australian citizens and hold or be obtain a NV1 security clearance.
