About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop product Operator, Maintenance and Software User Manuals.
- Review and edit documents from technical writer peers and other team members.
- Work closely with Software and/or Hardware Engineers and Software Developers to develop new and existing documentation.
- Assist in preparation of ILS documentation and plans.
- Validate documentation against the product.
- Undertake Technical Writing duties as necessary.
Requirements
What you’ll need- experience in technical writing in manufacturing, technology, engineering or defence industries.
- Proven writing skills with the ability to write in plain English.
- Proficient in the use of technical publication authoring software tools.
- Experience with developing and editing large and/or complex documents to an advanced level in Microsoft Word and/or Adobe FrameMaker.
- Experience using S1000D.
- Experience with web-based publishing and/or developing online help.
- An Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level or the ability to gain one.
