About the role
- Ensure all current and future contracts are fully compliant with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS)
- Support capture efforts across the business by participating in proposal development and reviews.
- Review complex Prime Contractor and U.S. DoD proposals for compliance with requirements of the Request for Proposal (RFP) or Request for Quotation (RFQ)
- Provide oversight of assigned contractual negotiations.
- Prepare and present contractual terms and conditions analyses to management.
- Provide data and support for DCMA/DCAA inquiries and audits.
- Lead efforts to evaluate and improve existing processes and fill process gaps with appropriate documentation.
- Communicate results, contractual risks, and mitigation alternatives concisely, both verbally and in writing.
- Travel up to 25% annually, both domestically and internationally.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related discipline with 13+ years of Contracts experience, or a Master's degree or JD with 11+ years of experience.
- Expert knowledge of FAR and DFARS, with working knowledge of CAS.
- Ability to contribute to strategy development and lead strategic initiatives supporting functional and business objectives.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance, if required.
- Professional certifications such as CCM, CFCM, or CPCM.
- Extensive experience negotiating multi-million-dollar defense contracts with the U.S. Government, international governments, and major Defense/Aerospace contractors.
- Experience with U.S. Navy/Marine Corps and U.S. Army contracts is highly desirable.
