About the role

  • Report to the Associate Director of Animation and partner with the media buying team and clients
  • Edit short-form paid media ads for digital channels (Facebook, Google, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube) both net-new and from existing client materials
  • Serve as a motion generalist, switching between animation and short-form video editing
  • Collaborate with designers and producers to create ads driving performance results for client media programs
  • Perform coloring, VFX and sound design; basic 3D text animations as needed
  • Manage multiple motion-based projects with tight timelines and self-project-manage across concurrent projects
  • Own revision, resizing and versioning projects for large clients
  • Conceptualize animated content optimized for paid media channels and apply channel best practices
  • Deliver end-to-end editing process ensuring seamless delivery of online edits
  • Use Adobe Creative Cloud (After Effects and Premiere Pro) to produce final assets

Requirements

  • 4-6 years technical experience with video editing and light motion design, preferably at a performance-focused agency
  • Strong ability to create precise edits for paid channels
  • Experience in the end-to-end editing process, ensuring seamless delivery of online edits
  • Basic understanding of color grading, SFX and sound design
  • Portfolio is required
  • In-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite with proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro
  • Experience in paid media ad editing and animation
  • 4 year college degree (preferably in design) or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge in coloring, VFX and sound design
  • Ability to do basic 3D text animations (plus)
  • Strong time management and ability to lead multiple motion-based projects with tight timelines
  • Project-manage yourself and fluidly jump between multiple projects
  • Owning revision and resizing/versioning projects for large clients
  • Conceptualize animated content optimized for paid media channels
  • Willingness to learn paid media channel best practices
  • Self-starter, problem-solver & team-player
  • Ability to effectively communicate animation concepts, ideas and limitations to creative and non-creative teammates
  • Openness to team and client feedback
  • Experience with HTML5 ad animation (nice to have)
  • Experience using Gen AI tools for ad builds and concepting (nice to have)
  • Experience building versioning workflows or working with automated versioning tools (nice to have)
  • Familiarity with Google suite (nice to have)
  • B2C and B2B experience (nice to have)
