About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage all aspects of the operations of the company’s distribution centers in the assigned region
- Provide insight and expertise guiding annual expense budget and manpower requirements to DC managers
- Act as a catalyst for change while standardizing KPI’s, training and leadership procedures, and performing assessments of productivity
- Facilitate communication of goals and changes between upper management and warehouse staff
- Manage the company’s overall shipping, receiving, cycle counting, and warehouse maintenance functions
- Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision
- Responsible for overseeing OSHA and safety compliance
- Assist DC managers to maintain effective, positive employee relations in the facility
- Develop operating strategies to manage future growth, improve quality and reduce operating costs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in Business/Logistics/Supply Chain or other related fields
- 10+ years of prior warehouse experience
- 7+ years of leadership and team management experience
- Deep understanding of standard technical systems including WMS and ERP systems
- Experience in continuous improvement tools/methodologies to drive customer fulfillment, quality, efficiency, and safety
- Excellent team-building and coaching skills
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance requirements.
