About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee ERP and transportation management systems (TMS) inputs and reporting
Ensure data accuracy for rates, routing, and carrier performance
Support inbound and outbound freight execution across parcel, LTL, truckload, and regional carriers
Monitor carrier service levels, shipment visibility, and exception reporting to support timely deliveries
Conduct data analysis to identify cost trends, service issues, and improvement opportunities
Serve as a primary point of contact for carrier partners, assisting with issue resolution and performance tracking
Support contract execution and day-to-day communication with parcel and freight carriers
Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to align daily operations and escalate issues as needed
Partner with Distribution Center operations, Customer Service, Finance, and IT teams to ensure alignment on transportation priorities
Provide logistics data and insights for cross-functional initiatives and reporting
Assist in preparing materials for carrier business reviews and operational updates
Track key transportation KPIs including cost per box, on-time performance, and carrier compliance
Recommend process improvements to reduce cost and improve service reliability
Support operational projects such as onboarding new carriers or system enhancements

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations (parcel, LTL, and truckload preferred)
Strong knowledge of transportation systems and carrier management
Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make recommendations
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
