About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Contribute to the protection and enhancement of Sépaq’s territories and attractions by being at the heart of the organization’s financial processes.
  • Play a key role in financial analysis, preparation of financial information, and compliance with accounting standards, while collaborating closely with other financial functions across the organization.
  • Conduct financial analyses and provide recommendations to support decisions by the vice-presidency and the organization.
  • Actively participate in the preparation of annual and five-year budget forecasts, their monitoring and related accountability reporting.
  • Contribute to the preparation and analysis of Sépaq’s periodic and annual financial statements.
  • Perform research, analyses and make recommendations related to public sector standards or IFRS.
  • Support planning, accounting and monitoring processes related to assets and infrastructure projects.
  • Contribute to the financial authorization process for projects.
  • Ensure and optimize the management of cash flows, liquidity and investment income.
  • Contribute to year-end external audit work.
  • Serve as a resource person to support and train site staff on accounting operations.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, laws and regulations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects for financial processes.
  • Optimize the use of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for processing and analyzing financial data.
  • Perform any other duties or responsibilities inherent to the role.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation required
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in similar responsibilities
  • Proficient with spreadsheets
  • Knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, notably Oracle Fusion
  • Willingness and curiosity to learn our in-house revenue system
  • Rigour and analytical mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Customer service orientation and ease working in a team
