About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of capital projects across Sépaq facilities, considering the clientele and operations of each establishment and in accordance with organizational standards, laws, regulations and principles for developing natural environments.
  • Take part in project planning and define the spatial organization of comprehensive projects at the scale of the territory or a portion of it (development plan and/or land-use concept).
  • Actively contribute to project development through to construction start-up, including site selection, master planning, exterior landscape programs, cost estimates, scope-of-work descriptions, consultant oversight and validation, and preparation of landscape plans and specifications.
  • Actively participate in project execution follow-up, including monitoring and validating the work of consultants, site supervisors and/or contractors, and confirming installations.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture or another combination of education and experience deemed equivalent
  • 8 years of relevant experience
  • Membership in the Association des architectes paysagistes du Québec (AAPQ)
  • Experience with projects in natural environments (asset)
  • Ability to work independently; strong planning and organizational skills
  • Practical knowledge of computer-aided design (AutoCAD, SketchUp)
  • Familiarity with construction management and site supervision software (Fieldwire) (asset)
  • Valid driver’s license
