About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform portfolio valuations for venture capital/private equity funds and business valuations of early-stage venture-backed companies with complex capital structures, adhering to AICPA fair value standards
- Lead client engagements, including gathering and reviewing source data, project management, timeline and deliverable communication, and audit support
- Set up valuations for new clients during onboarding
- Lead training sessions on platform usage
- Assist the Implementation team with interpreting financial and legal onboarding documents
- Respond to client requests and resolve inquiries with Client Engagement and Support teams
- Contribute to the design and enhancement of proprietary valuation models and software platforms
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of relevant work experience specifically involving ASC 820
- Strong understanding of private markets valuation methodologies, including Black-Scholes OPM
- Ability to perform valuations for VC/PE portfolios and early-stage companies with complex capital structures
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Extreme attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently under strict deadlines in a collaborative team setting
- Indefinite right to work in the United States
- Post-graduate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- CPA, CFA, or another relevant designation preferred
- Familiarity with SaaS business models preferred
