Key responsibilities & impact

Design, create and maintain high-quality cloud-based applications to help S&P Global’s Private Valuations and Assessments business grow.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions that drive business growth in the private markets space.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis through deployment and maintenance.
Contribute to architectural decisions and technical design discussions for high-impact financial technology solutions.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to code reviews to maintain high-quality development standards.
Work in an agile environment to deliver features that directly support S&P Global's expansion in private markets.

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of hands-on Java development experience with strong proficiency in Java 11+ features
Strong experience with enterprise frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring MVC, or similar
Understanding of microservices architecture patterns and API gateway technologies including Kong or AWS API Gateway
Good understanding and working experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift
Strong understanding of API security and implementing identity provider frameworks like Okta, Incognito, or APIGEE.
Strong understanding of database technologies including both SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL solutions (MongoDB, DynamoDB)
Hands on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation for automated infrastructure provisioning and management
Knowledge of monitoring and observability solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, DataDog, or Splunk for application performance monitoring
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
