About the role

  • Lead a team in developing and maintaining data-driven applications on both the front and back end, with a focus on Data Science, AI, and Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications for software solutions.
  • Conduct project estimation and feasibility assessments.
  • Oversee architectural design and conduct code reviews.
  • Adhere to best practices in data management and governance, ensuring compliance with data privacy and security policies.
  • Contribute to the identification, design, and implementation of process improvements.
  • Stay informed on industry best practices and ensure the team remains at the forefront of technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of experience in data-driven software engineering, both as an individual contributor and manager.
  • Strong hands-on experience with at least two of the following technologies: .NET, Java, Python, or Scala.
  • Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases and ETL tools.
  • Experience working with AWS or GCP cloud-native services.
  • Commitment to test-driven development.
  • Competence in DevOps, including GitHub Actions, continuous delivery, and automated testing.
  • Curiosity and drive for continuous learning and exploration.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in leading projects in a global setting (preferred).
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and practices (preferred).
  • Ability to mentor and develop junior engineers (preferred).
  • Experience with AI and machine learning frameworks (preferred).
