About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and own senior relationships with traditional exchanges (e.g., SGX, HKEX, JPX, ASX) and major digital asset exchanges across APAC.
  • Identify, negotiate, and execute new partnership and listing agreements with exchange counterparts.
  • Act as the primary point of contact and escalation lead for exchange relationships, managing both commercial terms and operational integration.
  • Track exchange product roadmaps, new listing venues, and market structure changes across the region to identify partnership opportunities early.
  • Provide market intelligence and deal flow insight to senior leadership, including assessment of new exchange venues, regulatory developments, and competitive positioning.
  • Support pricing, timing, and venue-selection decisions for transactions spanning both traditional and digital asset markets.
  • Work closely with Legal and Compliance to ensure all partnerships and transactions meet regulatory requirements across multiple APAC jurisdictions.
  • Partner with APAC sales team members and contribute to building out the exchange partnerships function as it scales.
  • Represent the firm at industry conferences, exchange events, and regulatory roundtables across the region.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of experience in capital markets, exchange relations, investment banking, or business development, with meaningful exposure to both traditional securities markets and digital assets / crypto.
  • Demonstrated track record of originating and closing exchange partnerships, listings, or capital markets transactions.
  • Existing senior-level relationships with at least one major traditional exchange and one major crypto exchange in APAC strongly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of market structure, listing requirements, and liquidity provision across both TradFi and digital asset venues.
  • Working knowledge of the APAC regulatory landscape for securities and digital assets (e.g., MAS, SFC, JFSA, ASIC) and how it shapes exchange partnerships.
  • Strong executive presence and negotiation skills; comfortable representing the firm with C-suite exchange leadership and regulators.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA, CFA, or equivalent advanced qualification a plus.
  • Fluency in English required; proficiency in Mandarin, Japanese, or another regional language a strong advantage.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across APAC.
