Senior Sales Specialist, Credit & Risk Solutions
S&P GlobalSenior Sales Specialist focused on selling S&P Global's credit and risk solutions to financial institutions in the DACH region. Building relationships, identifying opportunities, and collaborating with internal teams for success.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide excellent service to existing and potential customers.
- Identify and execute growth opportunities.
- Meet or exceed individual growth goals/quotas.
- Plan and execute sales campaigns.
- Maintain structured tracking of activity, pipeline accuracy, and forecasting.
- Identify and develop revenue synergy and cross-sell opportunities.
- Build and maintain knowledge of industry and economic events impacting clients, and clearly connect the relevance of S&P Global products to their business priorities and market challenges.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and internal stakeholders, including Product Experts, Product Management, Marketing, Legal, and Client Support teams, to deliver strong commercial outcomes for clients.
- Use sound judgment in day-to-day sales activity, take initiative to identify issues or areas for improvement, and apply solutions with an end-to-end view of the client and sales process.
- Communicate complex solution value clearly and effectively to a range of audiences, while building credibility as a trusted partner to clients and internal colleagues.
Requirements
What you’ll need- An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 6+ years of experience in RatingsDirect, RatingsXpress, CreditPro, Credit Analytics, and Scorecards in the wide Financial Institution space in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Fluent in English and German.
- Strong sales execution skills, including the ability to manage pipeline activity, maintain forecasting discipline, and consistently deliver against commercial objectives.
- Able to engage with and influence peers, immediate leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders to achieve common goals.
- Able to work effectively with incomplete or evolving information, while identifying practical options in non-routine situations.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain fairly complex or technical information within a specialized sales environment.
