About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop, maintain, and optimize web applications using PHP (Symfony framework).
Work with Doctrine ORM for efficient database modelling, migrations, and query optimization.
Design and implement robust, scalable, and reusable code following best practices and coding standards.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
Partner with product managers and designers to convert business requirements into effective technical solutions.
Conduct code reviews to maintain quality, consistency, and adherence to standards.
Perform thorough testing and debugging to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.
Optimize application performance and ensure scalability of backend systems.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in PHP and Symfony development.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven strong experience with PHP and Symfony
Solid understanding of Doctrine ORM
Exposure to ElasticSearch or similar search technologies is a plus.
Familiarity with object-oriented design patterns and SOLID principles.
Comfortable with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
