About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and execute the security engineering strategy and multi-year roadmap aligned to business goals and risk tolerance.
- Interface with technology teams across multiple business divisions, along with the Cloud and Infrastructure teams to accommodate new projects and releases.
- Take up existing projects and roadmaps with a focus on delivering industry best-practices across the space.
- Manage a team of Security Engineers globally to achieve the stated objectives.
- Interface with industry experts to deliver AI-enabled security detections and improve operational workflows across the SOC.
- Manage to a set of core executive metrics, ensuring operations teams are well positioned to detect and respond to complex modern threats.
- Work with industry leaders in the detection engineering space to continually improve our capabilities and stay ahead of the market.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years in security engineering and/or security tools management
- 5+ years leading teams including hiring, performance management, and org design.
- Proven experience working in an environment with hybrid-cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with leading SIEM, SOAR, and Threat-Intelligence products across the industry.
- Working knowledge of key SIEM and SOAR platforms such as (Splunk, SecOps, Xsoar, Sentinal, D3)
- Strong background in application security and modern SDLC/CI/CD practices.
- Demonstrated ability to run large, cross-functional security initiatives and deliver outcomes at scale.
- Excellent communication skills: can influence engineering leaders and explain technical risk to non-technical stakeholders.
