Sales Specialist, Primary Markets Solutions
S&P GlobalSales Specialist driving business growth in APAC for S&P Global Market Intelligence. Focused on client acquisition and maximizing sales opportunities in the region.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive sales of S&P’s Sales & Trading and Capital Markets products and services to achieve and exceed annual new business revenue quotas.
- Proactively manage the end-to-end sales process and pipeline, from lead generation and prospecting to opportunity management and closure within your assigned territory.
- Develop and manage a book of business, focusing on new client acquisition and expanding existing relationships through strategic networking and client engagement.
- Demonstrate S&P Global's product offerings and their value proposition, consulting with prospects and clients to construct tailored solutions.
- Collaborate effectively with Account Management and Product Marketing teams to ensure a coordinated and client-centric approach.
- All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience selling data and/or software solutions within financial services, specifically to business areas such as Fixed Income/Equity Capital Markets and Syndicate, or Research Sales and Trading.
- Proven history of consistently exceeding sales quotas and a strong drive to prospect for new accounts.
- Strong understanding of the sales process, pipeline management, and superior negotiating skills.
- We require all external candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer.
- Experience selling desktop solutions or data to the buy-side/sell-side; formal negotiating training is a plus.
- Strong CRM skills, preferably Salesforce.
- Ability to integrate and communicate complex product and market information clearly and effectively within your specialization to diverse audiences.
- Proactively seeks out new opportunities for innovation in sales strategies and client engagement, leveraging relevant market data.
