About the role
- Lead the Shared Services function for APAC, overseeing advisory support and service delivery across multiple countries.
- Provide guidance on APAC labor laws, compliance requirements, statutory obligations, and localized employment practices.
- Support managers on performance management, coaching, ER cases, and People best practices aligned to global frameworks.
- Lead Tier 2 employee relations investigations and escalation management across APAC markets.
- Partner with COEs to deploy regional learning, engagement, and development initiatives.
- Represent APAC needs in global service delivery forums and governance decisions.
- Collaborate with People Analytics to interpret regional trends, risks, and forecast needs.
- Oversee delivery of employee lifecycle processes across APAC—including onboarding, job changes, leave, benefits, transfers, and separations.
- Ensure accurate leave administration, benefits coordination, and payroll data management in partnership with Global Payroll and Benefits.
- Maintain statutory documentation, support audits, and ensure compliance with all local employment regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using automation, digital workflows, and AI tools to enhance service delivery.
- Ensure alignment of regional processes with global COEs and Shared Services standards.
- Support global PMO initiatives by managing regional deliverables, change adoption, and communication.
- Coach and develop India-based and in-region People Advisors and specialists to ensure consistent, high-quality support.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in APAC employment laws (India, China, Japan, Korea, Australia, Singapore required; broader APAC desirable).
- 7–10+ years of progressive HR/People experience, including regional or multi-country leadership.
- Strong experience with performance management, coaching, employee relations, and compliance.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence leaders across cultures.
- Strong analytical ability to interpret workforce data and support decision-making.
- Proven capability to manage high-volume, complex environments with sound judgment.
- Fluent in English and at least one regional APAC language (Hindi, Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred.
