About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, structure, and develop the legal and compliance team, fostering a productive, collaborative, and results-oriented work environment;
- Conduct performance reviews, create individual development plans, and provide continuous feedback;
- Act as a strategic partner to the CFO and executive leadership, advising on business decisions, commercial and corporate contracts with a risk-aware and business-viability perspective;
- Define and implement the compliance and corporate governance program, including internal policies, code of conduct, whistleblower channel, and training, ensuring adherence to market best practices;
- Manage litigation and contingencies (civil, labor, tax, and regulatory), defining risk mitigation strategies and provisions in coordination with the finance team;
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, including LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law), digital law, consumer protection, and regulations specific to the HR Tech and payroll sector;
- Review, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts, partnerships, suppliers, and clients, focusing on legal security and business agility;
- Provide ad hoc support for corporate operations and strategic transactions (M&A, restructurings) when requested by the company;
- Coordinate external legal counsel, optimizing costs and ensuring quality and timely delivery;
- Report periodically to the CFO on material legal risks, contingencies, and the status of strategic projects.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Law degree with active OAB registration.
- Minimum of 10 years of legal experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership position (Head, Manager, or equivalent).
- Deep knowledge of LGPD, corporate law, contract law, labor law, and regulatory matters.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and people-management skills.
- Business-minded with the ability to translate complex legal issues into practical recommendations for the executive team.
