Be part of a team where your work safeguards lives and powers progress. For the expansion of our team, we are seeking to hire in Pioltello, Milan a dynamic and motivated Mechanical R&D Engineer.
  • Main taks:
  • - Design and construction of electrical system/products and project-based solutions.
  • - Perform finite element analyses (tension/stress, fatigue, hardware analysis, welding, aging frequency/vibration) to aid and optimize design and validation of new products, focusing on modeling welded/bolted/riveted joints, fatigue, proof stresses, and safety factors according to railway norms and best practices.
  • - Provide technology innovations and high product reliability.
  • - Keep design database updated in order to trace and produce right apparatuses.
  • - Keep high level of technology in mechanical & electrical products.
  • - Validate all mechanical & electrical design of dedicated group.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • - Master’s degree in mechanical engineering with experience in FE simulation for mechanical validation. Other master degree can be evaluated (like: electrical engineer…).
  • - Electrical AC/DC Medium / High voltage as a strong plus.
  • - Development or technical design on mechanical or electro-mechanical devices is a plus.
  • - Minimum 5 years of successful industrial experience.
  • - Very good knowledge of 3D CAD modelling software (Solidworks, CATIA, Autodesk Inventor, Creo, etc..).
  • - Railway rolling stock industry & international standards knowledge as a plus.
  • - Experience with MSC Nastran/Apex/Patran is advantageous.
  • - Experience with analysis of welded joints and fatigue is advantageous.
  • - Languages: English - fluent with ability to create high-quality written reports for clients; French - beneficial but not required.
