About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborate with the Design team to create Test Specifications and execute test plans for electronic systems and subsystems
- Work with tester suppliers to build testers and test fixtures
- Analyze test data, support root cause analysis, maintain documentation, and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain engineering documentation, BOM updates, test reports, and change records
- Support formal internal and external documentation and facilitate the ECO process and cut-off implementation
- Monitor production performance and suggest design or process improvements
- Collaborate with Design, Hardware, Software, Manufacturing, and Project Management departments
- Troubleshoot and resolve design, manufacturing, and component issues in products in volume production at contract manufacturers
- Conduct NMR/RMA testing and analysis
- Support part/component qualification and document new components
- Support prototype development and coordinate with contract manufacturers
- Comply with company policies and rules, maintain punctual attendance, attend meetings, and perform other assigned responsibilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 5–8 years of experience in Test Engineering and Test Fixture Build
- Understanding of manufacturing technologies and methods, preferably PCBA and/or semiconductor manufacturing
- Problem-solving skills and ability to communicate concepts related to supply chain, production, and electronics
- Interpersonal skills to build collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Written, verbal, listening, and presentation communication skills
- Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation within quality
- Organizational planning and coordination of internal and external resources
- Business sense and analytical skills to use and analyze data, solve complex problems, and drive learning
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and extended hours when necessary
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Power BI
- Preferred: familiarity with PCBA manufacturing processes, including ICT and Functional Test
- Preferred: familiarity with document control software such as 3Dx or Agile
- Preferred: familiarity with program management tools such as JIRA and Confluence
