About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Schedule and track inbound delivery appointments and shipments in our TMS — from origin through delivery — proactively flagging delays or appointment conflicts to internal stakeholders.
- Reconcile received quantities against purchase orders (POs) and advance shipment notices (ASNs), coordinating quality inspection of inbound goods and documenting shortages, overages, damage, or discrepancies for escalation to vendors and internal teams.
- Coordinate with 3PL teams on putaway and placement of newly received inventory to ensure accurate system records.
- Communicate proactively with carriers, suppliers, and 3PL partners on shipment ETAs, delays, and documentation via our TMS, maintaining strong working relationships to support consistent performance.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues — missed appointments, receiving discrepancies, or documentation errors — flagged in our TMS or during receiving.
- Work closely with internal teams — procurement, logistics, and fulfillment — to ensure coordination across inbound receiving operations.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of inbound receiving and communication logs.
- Interpret inbound shipment and PO information to independently execute receiving tasks with minimal oversight.
- Identify opportunities to improve inbound receiving workflows and support scalable operations across the fulfillment network.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1-3 years of experience in logistics, receiving, inbound transportation, or supply chain, preferably in an eCommerce or supply chain environment.
- Familiarity with third-party logistics providers, carrier networks, and inbound transportation workflows.
- Demonstrated experience scheduling inbound delivery appointments and coordinating dock/receiving operations across various transportation modes.
- Strong ability to match received inventory against purchase orders and advance shipment notices, inspect incoming goods, and accurately document discrepancies.
- High level of accuracy when handling receiving documentation, quality inspection, and inventory records.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and external logistics partners.
- Comfortable working with Transportation Management Systems (Uber Freight preferred), ERP (Netsuite preferred), Order Management Systems, and Warehouse Management Systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and meeting deadlines in a remote setting.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating with FC/3PL teams on inventory placement and putaway to ensure accurate, timely stock availability.
- Proven ability to coordinate receiving and putaway across a multi-FC network, ensuring accurate, timely inventory availability.
