About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete a 9–12 month Logistics Management Trainee program combining on-the-job, structured/foundational, and team-based learning
  • Gain exposure to multiple customer locations within the region
  • Supervise, coordinate, and oversee day-to-day logistics operations
  • Plan and review logistics processes with the Logistics Manager
  • Establish work schedules and procedures and coordinate employee activities
  • Monitor site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Collaborate with customers across all aspects of operations
  • Meet with team members to monitor progress, track performance, and recognize successes
  • Promote team spirit, diversity, inclusion, and process improvement
  • Implement health, safety, and security initiatives and ensure adherence to company policies
  • Analyze account profitability and create, update, and present customer-specific reporting and financial analysis
  • Make recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Learn financial aspects of the role and support onboarding, orientation, and training for new hires
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • College degree/Technical Certification required in Business, Logistics, Transportation or a related field
  • Combination of other education and experiences will be considered
  • One (1) year involvement in extra-curricular activities that demonstrate leadership skills required
  • One (1) year previous internship experience preferred
  • Effective leadership skills

  • High degree of initiative
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization
  • Curiosity to learn independently while building relationships that broaden knowledge and develop collaboration
  • Flexibility and self-driven performance in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 pm to 6:30 am, with additional hours and days as needed
  • Ability to respond to safety or operational issues outside normal business hours
