About the role
- Supports the Ryder Continuous Improvement culture throughout the Fleet Management Solutions (FMS) Division
- Actively promotes and facilitates the use of Continuous Improvement methods
- Responsible for executing strategic projects that enhance asset performance, maintenance effectiveness, fleet reliability initiatives, digital transformation, and continuous improvement
- Drives change by leveraging data analytics, process engineering, and AI-enabled efforts to deliver higher levels of performance
- Employs Continuous Improvement /Lean tools to enable root cause identification and elimination
- Interfaces with employees at all levels and functions across the business to manage large projects, direct proof-of-concepts (POC’s) and pilots
- Reduces waste and cost in our FMS business
- Partners closely with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, IT, Data & Analytics to deliver measurable improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Systems, Operations or Business
- 5 years or more in Experience in Project, Process or Operations Management
- 5 years or more in Experience in planning and executing full life cycle DMAIC or PDCA projects and Lean - Kaizen events
- 5 years or more in Experience in TQM, Value Stream Mapping, Six Sigma, or other Process Improvement practices
- 3 years or more in Experience in implementing advanced data tools, predictive analytics, or embedding AI-enhancements within operational environments
- 3 years or more in Experience in Transportation Industry or Maintenance Management
- 3 years or more in Experience with telematics, diagnostics, or mobility/untethered tools
- 3 years or more in Experience managing vendor relationships for technology solutions
- Microsoft Office/Teams Suite with emphasis on collaboration and embedded AI Intermediate
- Project Management Methodologies and Tools/Software Intermediate
- Data Visualization Tools (PowerBI, Tableau) Intermediate
- PMP or TQM or Lean/Six Sigma certification or similar (Green Belt preferred)
