About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee the global order-to-cash cycle
- Oversee and optimize revenue recognition practices while ensuring accounting-standard compliance and financial accuracy
- Provide leadership and guidance to the global team on revenue-cycle activities
- Drive timely revenue close, prepare reports, and present results to leadership
- Oversee revenue recognition analysis and reporting for month-end close
- Maintain documentation for revenue recognition policies and standards
- Analyze enterprise-wide revenue-cycle trends and provide strategic insight
- Interface with Principals and Managers on client contracts, billing requirements, revenue recognition, and customer collections
- Investigate revenue fluctuations and transactional drivers between forecasted revenue and actual results
- Collaborate with billing operations and service delivery on root-cause analysis
- Identify, resolve, and escalate issues as needed
- Monitor and enhance billing, collections, and other revenue-cycle functions
- Develop and implement compliant order-to-cash policies and procedures
- Participate in process and system reviews and improvements, including acquired-entity integration
- Monitor compliance with GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition policies
- Directly supervise Finance Department employees
- Interface with employees at all levels and external vendors
- Travel independently less than 10%
Requirements
What you’ll need- Candidates must have revenue recognition experience in a multinational firm with over 7,000 employees
- CPA designation required
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent
- At least 10+ years of Accounting and Management experience
- Revenue recognition experience with strong knowledge of ASC 606
- Variable consideration experience a plus
- Revenue/billing system implementation experience; Billing Platform preferred
- Workday Finance Platform experience a plus
- Large company and SOX experience required
- Public company experience preferred
- Executive presence and ability to influence senior leaders
- Knowledge of accounting across multiple currencies and jurisdictions
- Excellent professional written and oral communication skills
- Keen attention to detail, strong decision-making, and analytical mindset
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Exposure to accounting and billing systems
- Internet navigation/research skills
- Certified Public Accountant license required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Strong leadership abilities and presence
- US work authorization without now or future visa sponsorship requirement
