About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and execute Ryan’s global procurement vision, strategy, and operating model
- Lead the maturation of Procurement into a scalable enterprise capability
- Strengthen procurement operating model, governance, technology, and organizational effectiveness
- Provide leadership and oversight of global strategic procurement and sourcing
- Partner with Finance, Treasury, Accounts Payable, Internal Audit, Legal, IT, Facilities, People Group, and business leadership
- Provide executive leadership for the global procurement organization, including organizational design, talent strategy, and capability development
- Foster accountability, continuous improvement, execution, and innovation
- Develop leadership bench strength and succession planning across procurement functions
- Champion change management tied to procurement transformation, AI-enabled automation, and global standardization
- Advise executive leadership and align procurement strategy with enterprise objectives
- Lead vendor and supplier integration activities related to acquisitions
- Assess inherited spend, consolidate contracts, negotiate opportunities, rationalize vendors, and terminate redundant agreements
- Lead enterprise-wide sourcing strategies for indirect goods and services
- Oversee complex contract negotiations and supplier governance frameworks
- Drive strategic supplier relationships and supplier performance management
- Lead procurement transformation, digital enablement, spend visibility, and process optimization
- Develop and execute cost savings and value realization strategies
- Establish and monitor procurement KPIs and performance metrics
- Drive procurement integration of acquired companies and standardize procurement practices
- Govern procurement strategies, supplier management frameworks, policies, and processes
- Lead global standardization and scalability across North America, EMEA, and APAC
- Drive adoption of e-procurement, contract lifecycle management, AI-enabled spend analytics, and supplier management platforms
- Oversee category management strategies based on data-driven insights and market intelligence
- Own key strategic vendor relationships, including travel management and outsourced service providers
- Establish governance, policies, and controls for supplier risk management, compliance, and operational excellence
- Evaluate market trends, supplier innovation, and emerging technologies
- Directly and indirectly supervise Procurement team employees
- Travel independently 30% to 50%
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advanced degree required in Procurement, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in procurement and/or sourcing
- Proven track record leading global procurement organizations and driving enterprise transformation initiatives
- Deep expertise in indirect sourcing within professional services; tax, accounting, legal, or consulting services strongly preferred
- Experience with categories such as IT, facilities, and travel
- Deep experience onboarding vendors and suppliers from acquisitions
- Executive leadership and stakeholder influence at the C-suite level
- Strategic thinking with strong commercial and financial acumen
- Advanced negotiation and supplier relationship management expertise
- Enterprise transformation and change leadership
- Data-driven decision-making and analytical rigor
- Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills
- Ability to lead in a complex, global, matrixed environment
- Experience with Workday Financials, Oracle Financials, and PaymentWorks preferred
- CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or equivalent certification preferred
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and Internet navigation and research
- PaymentWorks and Workday or Oracle Financials and ChatGPT Enterprise experience preferred
- CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management)
