About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the People Group and stakeholders, translating business needs into scalable Workday and HCM solutions
  • Define problem statements, assess business impact, and align technology solutions with business priorities
  • Gather requirements, analyze workflows and data needs, and identify people, process, and technology improvements
  • Evaluate project and product requests for strategic fit, technical feasibility, and enterprise-system alignment
  • Lead build-versus-buy decisions while managing technical debt, scalability, and performance trade-offs
  • Mentor team members and foster continuous learning and excellence
  • Design and oversee scalable Workday configuration standards and automation solutions
  • Configure security, business processes, calculated fields, condition rules, and validations
  • Design and optimize data flows between Workday and internal systems
  • Configure Workday functionality and execute test plans
  • Design and deliver Workday Extend, PRISM, and Agentic AI solutions
  • Drive the future-state HRIS function, end-to-end architecture, and strategic roadmap
  • Evaluate add-on products and manage the technology stack
  • Assess Workday platform health and user experience metrics for continuous improvement
  • Lead development and support activities, including troubleshooting and maintenance of Workday configurations
  • Conduct impact analysis for major Workday releases, feature adoption, regression testing, and stakeholder impact analysis
  • Provide end-to-end design perspective on Workday integrations
  • Own Workday documentation, version control, and change processes across modules
  • Monitor HR systems changes and recommend innovative improvements
  • Implement security protocols and ensure HRIS compliance with privacy regulations, SOX, audit standards, and governance requirements
  • Collaborate with People, Finance, IT, legal, internal audit, InfoSec, compliance teams, employees, and vendors

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of HRIS experience, specialized in Workday HCM modules and reporting in a technical and leadership capacity
  • 5+ years of experience with hands-on Workday configuration and implementation
  • Hands-on experience implementing and supporting multiple Workday HCM modules
  • Experience as a solution architect, or equivalent, on at least one full life-cycle implementation of Workday HCM
  • Working Knowledge of AI features available in Workday
  • Experience in building scalable AI solutions with Workday and/or non-Workday solutions
  • Reporting skills to build custom reports in native Workday and People Analytics modules
  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to take initiative, establish priorities, meet deadlines, and make decisions with minimal direct supervision
  • Ability to think analytically and apply logic to solve problems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access, SharePoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, Zoom, and PowerPoint
  • Pro-Certifications in Workday preferred
  • Hands-on experience with Extend-Pro and PRISM preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Must have US work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship
