About the role
- Oversee the compliance function for an entity servicing federal crop insurance and private crop insurance programs
- Build and lead a team of compliance personnel with expertise in various crops, insurance plans and commodity types
- Ensure compliance process follows provisions of standard reinsurance agreement and supplemental guidance on compliance reviews in the federal crop insurance program
- Ensure adequate internal control policies and procedures over the compliance process
- Lead compliance review documentation function, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all information and a complete documentation trail exists
- Work closely with underwriting, claims and policy accounting functions to incorporate any changes identified as part of compliance review are incorporated into the policyholder administration system
- Support training function by developing and potentially delivering training curriculum
- Manage TPEP and TPER process as required by Appendix IV of the standard reinsurance agreement
- Liaise with other departments within the company, such as underwriting, compliance and accounting to ensure a coordinated approach to compliance reviews
- Stay up to date with changes in crop insurance regulations and industry best practices, participating in ongoing professional development activities

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 10+ years of progressive experience working with crop insurance
- Supervisory experience preferred
- MPCI compliance review experience preferred
