About the role
- Evaluate complex datasets to identify patterns and trends associated with catastrophe risks
- Develop and refine catastrophe models to estimate potential losses from various disaster scenarios
- Generate detailed reports that communicate risk assessments to stakeholders
- Work closely with underwriters and actuaries to integrate risk analysis into policy pricing and portfolio management
- Stay ahead of the latest developments in climate science, construction technology, and regulatory changes that may affect risk profiles
- Assist in the creation of risk mitigation strategies to minimize financial impact
- Utilize advanced software and technologies to improve the accuracy of risk predictions
- Contribute to the development of emergency response plans for catastrophic events
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management or Business
- Minimum of 6 months of related experience
- Certified Catastrophe Risk Analyst (CCRA), Certified Specialist in Catastrophe Risk (CSCR) or Certified Catastrophe Risk Management Professional (CCRMP) is preferred
