About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate the work of Ryan employees, subcontractors and project management on the jobsite
- Complete projects on time and on budget
- Administer project safety according to Ryan safety policies and procedures
- Develop a job-specific Job Safety/Hazard Analysis
- Manage subcontractors in the performance of their work
- Develop and understand CPM computer-generated schedules and track schedules
- Understand the entire construction budget and work within the assigned portion
- Read and comprehend blueprints, plans and specifications
- Give proper direction to project personnel
- Assist with material procurement
- Work efficiently and independently
- Enforce the site-specific Project Safety Manual
- Engage in Quality Control practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Position requires verification of employment to work in the U.S.
- Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and subsequent random and post-accident drug and alcohol testing
- Successful completion of union-required training programs, or equivalent
- Problem-solving abilities
- Valid documentation
- Show leadership skills
- Ability to make sound decisions
- Must be able to remain calm during stressful situations and work through challenges or issues
- Must know when to ask for help when a job task exceeds their skills or abilities
