About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for day-to-day claim activity of third-party claims submitted by claimants, customer markets, operations, legal, etc., for ultimate settlement and disposition
- Communicate with customers, contractors, employees, business partners, and insurance representatives to obtain information and answer questions concerning claims and incidents
- Maintain and update claim files and database system utilizing the Last Mile CLM Claim System to compile and file insurance records
- Monitor independent contract carriers and report on compliance issues pertaining to indemnification, required insurance, additional insured status, insurance coverage exclusions/omissions
- Report compliance issues and breaches to compliance team, local leadership, and management to alert of potential exposure to RXO and potential financial implications
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- 5 Years of experience in insurance claims and/or legal claims handling
- Basic knowledge of insurance policy language
- Advanced-level user of Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs
- Advanced Data Analysis using Excel
- Ability to quickly learn and achieve proficiency in new software
- Thorough knowledge of internal company software applications applicable to position/business unit
