Director, Business Development

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead strategic sales initiatives to drive growth for Managed Transportation and Dedicated Transportation business unit.
- Utilize experience to expand the business into multiple geographies and industries while evaluating and implementing sales initiatives to improve win rates.
- Partner with the Vice President for Solutions & Strategy to execute the annual sales plan including establishment of sales objectives.
- Build a pipeline and obtain sales growth goals, working to meet expectations of $10MM in gross revenue and $1.5M in EBITDA.
- Successfully manage customer needs to meet objectives of the company's overall business plans.
- Identify and develop new customers for Dedicated & Managed Solution Transportation products and services.
- Analyze/evaluate the effectiveness of current sales methods, costs, and results.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- 7 years sales experience in the asset based Dedicated Transportation & Managed Solutions Selling
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, which may include weekends; travel 75% of the time.
- Experience meeting and exceeding sales goals
- Strong ability to establish and maintain effective, collaborative work relationships both internally and externally.
