About the role
- Define and own the Production Enablement product strategy, aligned to how RWS delivers, scales and evolves its services
- Set a clear long-term vision for a unified, resilient and extensible production application
- Determine where consolidation, standardisation or decommissioning is required, and where differentiation or bespoke capability remains strategically important
- Ensure alignment with RWS’s Target Operating Model, platform strategy and broader technology transformation priorities
- Lead a multi-product portfolio with shared capabilities, complex dependencies and varying levels of maturity
- Drive simplification and modernisation across the production systems/business application estate, reducing fragmentation and operational risk
- Champion performance qualities such as reliability, scalability, interoperability, observability and maintainability
- Map end-to-end processes, identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and translate these into clear product problem statements
- Provide product leadership across multiple squads or platform teams, ensuring alignment on outcomes, quality and delivery standards
Requirements
- Significant experience leading product for internal platforms, operational systems or complex enterprise environments
- Experience coaching and growing other managers and product/technical professionals
- Strong discovery capability, including workflow mapping and problem framing in operational contexts
- Comfort engaging with technical concepts such as APIs, integrations, data flows and system boundaries
- The ability to operate credibly with senior stakeholders across engineering, operations and enterprise technology
- A pragmatic, outcome-oriented mindset with a bias toward iterative improvement
- Experience balancing long-term platform evolution with short-term delivery and reliability needs.
