About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as the primary liaison with finance teams across Zoopla, RVU, ASG and Hometrack, ensuring management packs land on time each month
- Compile commentary for the monthly management pack and share insights with the investor group and C-suite
- Own Group entities’ month-end reporting, including journals and balance-sheet reconciliations
- Manage professional, tax and legal cost accruals at group level
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns and manage the PSA calculations process
- Review and post monthly payroll journals for Group entities
- Support statutory accounts preparation and audit processes across ZPG entities
- Handle tax and treasury responsibilities, including interest payment reconciliations
- Participate in ad hoc projects and analysis
- Use AI tools such as Claude to improve efficiency across journal creation, reconciliations and reporting
Requirements
What you’ll need- Qualified accountant: ACA, ACCA, ICAS, CIMA or equivalent
- Strong technical accounting knowledge across management accounts, group consolidations, and statutory accounts
- Comfortable managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Open to using AI tools such as Claude to work more efficiently
- Experience with VAT accounting
- Solid understanding of UK tax compliance
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to build and maintain financial models
- Confident communication and relationship-building across a matrix organisation
- Self-starter who takes ownership of workload and identifies process improvements
- Previous group finance experience, ideally in a multi-entity or private-equity-backed environment, or audit experience of such groups
- Familiarity with NetSuite and/or Caseware, or similar ERP and statutory accounts tools
- Exposure to audit processes, PSA calculations and/or treasury management
