About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ownership for monthly reporting of the division’s performance
- Partner with Commercial Operations to significantly enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the monthly billing run and accrued income recognition process
- Work with the commercial finance and wider business to review costs
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Assistant Management Accountant, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance, particularly around new technologies
- Producing monthly divisional reporting packs and commentary
- Review and ownership of balance sheet reconciliations to agreed timelines with all reconciling items investigated and resolved promptly
- Manage statutory and group year-end audit requirements
- Identify and implement automation opportunities within the monthly reporting cycle to reduce close time and enhance control effectiveness.
- Manage team delivery of financial reporting in line with month end timetable
- Provide weekly cash flow forecasting for RVU London.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2 years post-qualified experience ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- Strong management accounting experience
- Experience in a technology-driven environment
- Proven track record of driving and implementing process automation and efficiency improvements
- Strong ability to partner with and influence non-finance stakeholders (e.g., Commercial Operations) to improve cross-functional processes
- Strong excel / IT skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Experience in the technology, internet, or finance sector is strongly desirable
- Experience leveraging AI tools.
