About the role

  • Develop expertise in Rust Automation & Controls’ products and solutions.
  • Prospect and sell products, solutions, and services to industrial and commercial accounts.
  • Grow territory sales and margin through in-person visits, video calls, emails, texts, and phone calls.
  • Re-engage dormant customers using multiple communication channels.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing partners through calls, emails, webinars, seminars, and on-site visits.
  • Partner with the Sales Support Team to provide accurate and timely account information.
  • Conduct site walk-downs to identify opportunities.
  • Maintain a CRM database of accounts, contacts, opportunities, and projects.
  • Effectively present solutions and collaborate with the team to execute strategies.

Requirements

  • Technical degree or 2–3 years of industrial sales experience
  • Ability to travel within the territory, including occasional overnight trips
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and resilient with a positive attitude
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to work independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, NetSuite, Salesforce, and other CRM tools
  • Collaborative mindset to leverage internal resources for results
