About the role
- - Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable PHP backend services and APIs
- - Collaborate closely with React developers to architect and implement backend services that support our modern frontend stack
- - Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to development best practices
- - Work with RabbitMQ and implement asynchronous programming concepts to enable scalable, high-performance systems
- - Optimize applications for speed and scalability, addressing performance bottlenecks and technical constraints
- - Document architecture, workflows, and development processes to support team knowledge and onboarding
- - Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems, driving stability and robustness
- - Work autonomously within a remote environment, maintaining clear and proactive communication across teams
Requirements
- - 10+ years of experience in PHP Backend Development
- - Experience with RabbitMQ and asynchronous programming concepts.
- - Expertise in designing and developing APIs, integrating with various DBs
- - Excellent understanding of front-end development principles, able to cooperate closely with React developers on building the backend services for our Javascript frontend
- - Obsession with unit testing, documentation, code health and scalability
- - Experience with unit testing frameworks and code version control systems (e.g., Git).
- - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- - Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and passion for building high-quality software and driving continuous improvement
- - Ability to work autonomously in a disciplined way, in a remote team environment. Maintaining tasks and tickets up to date, communicating clearly with stakeholders, etc.
