About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assess portfolio alignment with the company's strategic plan, prioritizing initiatives for maintenance, rehabilitation and modernization of the rail network.
- Develop prioritization criteria, feasibility analyses and resource allocation strategies, considering track asset criticality, operational safety and return on investment.
- Lead scenario planning and simulations to support strategic, portfolio-level decision-making with the Executive Board.
- Monitor the portfolio using financial, schedule and resource dashboards, including correlations with permanent way performance indicators (reliability, availability, THP).
- Identify and mitigate risks impacting multiple projects, with attention to rail safety, maintenance window constraints and regulatory compliance.
- Structure and lead rail network improvement projects, supporting the review of track maintenance strategies (corrective, preventive, predictive and condition-based maintenance).
- Promote continuous improvement of PMO methodologies and foster technological innovations applicable to track maintenance and monitoring.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Railway, Production Engineering or related fields.
- Power BI, advanced Excel or similar tools.
- Postgraduate degree or MBA in project management will be considered an advantage.
- Experience in portfolio management using frameworks such as the PMI Standard for Portfolio Management.
- Experience in permanent way maintenance and familiarity with maintenance strategies and improvement projects.
- Strong analytical skills (Power BI, advanced Excel or similar) and executive-level communication to bridge technical and strategic discussions with multiple stakeholders.
