About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Help shape the Marketplace Health Engine
Design and deliver scalable systems improving marketplace efficiency, provider utilization, and patient access at scale
Partner with Engineering, Product, Data, and Operations
Identify and address marketplace challenges
Drive technical strategy across the Marketplace organization
Mentor engineers
Influence key technical decisions while remaining hands-on in software development
Build systems from the ground up
Solve complex marketplace problems
Drive projects from discovery and design through implementation, launch, and post-launch support

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of related professional software engineering experience building scalable distributed systems
Experience leading technical initiatives across multiple teams and influencing technical strategy without direct authority
Experience designing and building backend services, APIs, and data-intensive systems
Experience with AWS preferred
Experience partnering with Product and Data to deliver business outcomes
Experience solving complex marketplace, platform, or large-scale operational problems with measurable impact
Strong communication skills to align technical and non-technical stakeholders around a shared vision
Experience driving projects end-to-end from discovery and design through implementation, launch, and post-launch support
Start-up experience preferred
Experience developing SaaS applications using AWS preferred
On-call experience and ability to independently resolve complex issues preferred
Experience with NodeJs, Typescript, and Kafka preferred
Experience with products having high reliability/accuracy requirements preferred
Must be based in the United States; currently not hiring in Hawaii
