About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Enable Rula’s Revenue Accounting team through accounting excellence, technological innovation, and improved revenue accounting processes
- Responsible for key parts of the monthly close, financial reporting, and compliance
- Apply knowledge of revenue accounting to ensure proper revenue recognition
- Partner cross-functionally to support scalable revenue operations
- Join a collaborative, detail-oriented team that values ownership and continuous improvement
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including direct experience with revenue accounting under ASC 606
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Experience preparing journal entries, account reconciliations and supporting month-end close processes
- Proficiency in Excel (e.g. pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
- Expertise working cross functionally (eg. Finance, Billing or Operations teams) utilizing strong communication skills to resolve data or process issues
- 1+ years experience at a high-growth start-up (Preferred)
- A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation / or currently working towards it (Preferred)
- Proficiency with revenue automation or systems implementations (Preferred)
- Public accounting experience (Preferred)
- Hands-on expertise working with large or complex datasets to identify discrepancies (Preferred)
- A passion for problem solving and process improvements, using emerging tools and technologies (e.g. AI) to drive operational efficiencies (Preferred)
