About the role
- Own the data strategy and Business Intelligence function within the analytics team, serving as a trusted partner to stakeholders across multiple departments
- Develop and maintain high-quality self-service tools that empower teams to make smarter, data-driven decisions
- Enable the analytics team to drive the development of novel insights
- Build dashboards, train and support power users, and ensure data is accessible, reliable, and actionable across the organization
- Shape and execute broader data strategy, proactively identifying gaps and opportunities to improve performance and quality
- Collaborate closely with Analytics and Data Engineering on the roadmap
- Drive automation to eliminate manual tasks
- Safeguard sensitive information with HIPAA-compliant security standards
- Guide the evolution of reporting infrastructure through transitions, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adoption while minimizing disruption
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in business and data analytics
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Math, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, or another quantitative field
- Hands-on experience with modern data stacks for data pipelines (e.g., dbt) and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Hex)
- Proven experience leading a Business Intelligence function
- Strong understanding of product and business analytics metrics (e.g., retention, conversion, engagement, churn) and ability to translate them into actionable insights
- Advanced proficiency in SQL
- Demonstrated project management experience
- Experience in an analytics role within a start-up or marketplace environment (preferred)
- Proven ability to connect analytics insights to business strategy and influence product decisions that drive revenue and growth (preferred)
- Hands-on experience working with event-based data (preferred)
- People management and team leadership experience (preferred)
- Familiarity with ensuring regulatory compliance in reporting tools and data systems (preferred)
- Must be US-based / eligible to work in the United States
