About the role

  • Embed clinical expertise within Product and Engineering teams to ensure capabilities are clinically-effective, engaging, and safe
  • Collaborate with designers, engineers, data scientists, and product managers to define how evidence-based clinical practices are central to patient experiences
  • Develop digitally-enabled support for patients that augments their existing provider relationship
  • Bridge patient and provider experiences from a clinical perspective to scale AI-enabled mental health care
  • Drive innovation and expand the portfolio of AI experiences, setting clinical standards for safety, transparency, and personalization
  • Ensure responsible, clinically-grounded AI design across the therapy journey and contribute to clinical quality assurance processes

Requirements

  • 5+ years of clinical mental health experience demonstrating direct patient care
  • 4+ years working in digital mental health
  • 3+ years of experience with AI-driven clinical products and AI product development, including a strong understanding of NLP, LLMs, and conversational AI models
  • Must have a Masters or PhD educational background and either an active license or a past license that is now inactive
  • Excellent communicator who can convey clinical concepts, nuance, and tradeoffs to a wide audience, including product managers, engineers, and designers
  • Knowledge of evidence-based clinical frameworks (e.g., CBT, mindfulness) and their safe and appropriate application in digital patient experiences
  • Experience with clinical quality assurance, supervision, and review processes for AI-driven systems (preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills and experience making data-driven decisions for improving AI experiences (preferred)
  • Experience writing clinical data annotation instructions and training annotation teams how to navigate clinical ambiguity in those instructions (preferred)
  • Must be US-based / eligible to work in the United States (role is US-based only)
