Key responsibilities & impact

Design printed circuit boards from conception through manufacturing
Create PCB, Circuit Card Assembly (CCA), and schematic drawings for suppliers
Perform schematic capture, component placement, trace routing, and Gerber/ODB++ file creation
Use Siemens Xpedition Enterprise and BluePrint-PCB for drawings
Design rigid, flex, and rigid-flex assemblies
Perform full designs, re-spins, drawing updates, change notices, copper changes, and process improvement projects
Interface daily with engineering levels and Electrical, Mechanical, Components, Test, and Producibility Engineering disciplines
Ensure overall design requirements are captured while considering cost, cycle time, and producibility
Travel to El Segundo, California approximately three times per year

Requirements

What you’ll need

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 2 years of experience
Experience in at least two of the following: PCB manufacturing or CCA manufacturing principles affecting circuitry and component layout; electrical design process; laying out Rigid, Flex, or Rigid-Flex boards
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance
U.S. citizenship required
Active and existing DoD Confidential security clearance required after day 1
Preferred: Working knowledge of Analog, Digital including DDR, RF, Power, mixed technology, multi-layer designs, and HDI technology
Preferred: Siemens design toolset, including Xpedition Layout, schematic capture, placement, routing, auto-router, constraint manager, library tools, and BluePrint
Preferred: Gerber and ODB++ manufacturing data export
Preferred: Valor NPI, Design for Manufacturing rule sets, and Design Rule Checking software
Preferred: Ability to interpret PCB and CCA drawings
Preferred: Familiarity with IPC 6012 and IPC 6013
Preferred: Military and commercial design standards, GD&T techniques, and electronic packaging producibility
Preferred: RF circuitry, PCB layout considerations, and filter knowledge
Preferred: Operating system concepts, implementations, and network services related to Microsoft Windows suites
Preferred: Active Secret DoD security clearance
