About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Set strategy and manage supplier relationships within the Interiors soft goods commodity
  • Identify sourcing needs and improve sourcing strategy
  • Lead supplier contract negotiations
  • Conduct internal assessments and external market assessments
  • Support development and improvement of functional strategy for 1–3 year business impact
  • Implement functional strategies supporting category management
  • Lead the annual Strategic Sourcing Review process and deployment across the Interiors organization
  • Establish operational plans for the Interiors Soft Goods commodity
  • Negotiate and maintain multiple supplier contracts annually
  • Serve as the primary business contact for supplier relationship management
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks
  • Develop and implement new products, processes, standards, or operational plans to improve results
  • Identify and support development of suppliers, capacity, and capabilities globally
  • Communicate with business executives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
  • 2+ years experience with Collins/RTX supply chain practices and/or 2+ years experience with soft goods and soft furnishings in the aerospace industry
  • 2+ years experience negotiating contracts or agreements
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company immigration sponsorship now or in the future
  • Must be willing and able to travel 30% of the time, domestically and internationally
  • Advanced knowledge of related disciplines within the work area and ability to identify links and potential impact on projects, programs, or systems
  • Project or program management skills preferred
  • No security clearance required
