About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Set strategy and manage supplier relationships within the Interiors soft goods commodity
Identify sourcing needs and improve sourcing strategy
Lead supplier contract negotiations
Conduct internal assessments and external market assessments
Support development and improvement of functional strategy for 1–3 year business impact
Implement functional strategies supporting category management
Lead the annual Strategic Sourcing Review process and deployment across the Interiors organization
Establish operational plans for the Interiors Soft Goods commodity
Negotiate and maintain multiple supplier contracts annually
Serve as the primary business contact for supplier relationship management
Identify and mitigate operational risks
Develop and implement new products, processes, standards, or operational plans to improve results
Identify and support development of suppliers, capacity, and capabilities globally
Communicate with business executives

Requirements

What you’ll need

University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
2+ years experience with Collins/RTX supply chain practices and/or 2+ years experience with soft goods and soft furnishings in the aerospace industry
2+ years experience negotiating contracts or agreements
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company immigration sponsorship now or in the future
Must be willing and able to travel 30% of the time, domestically and internationally
Advanced knowledge of related disciplines within the work area and ability to identify links and potential impact on projects, programs, or systems
Project or program management skills preferred
No security clearance required
