About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop a strategic plan for a commodity or strategic supplier
  • Create, execute, and manage subcontract types including Cost Type, Incentive Type, and Firm Fixed
  • Use source selection techniques for Circuit Card Assemblies / Printed Circuit Board Assemblies exceeding $500M in annual spend
  • Lead the sourcing process from RFQ to contract signature
  • Develop supplier Statements of Work and conduct bidders’ conferences as required
  • Improve productivity by leveraging Raytheon and Collins spend as part of OneRTX for Electronics
  • Drive savings capture through advantageous contracts, LTAs, and MTAs
  • Own and develop commodity/account management and strategic sourcing strategy
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies and networks addressing capacity issues and production location decisions
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on price, quality, timing, and reliability
  • Identify and engage subcontractors early for new business pursuits
  • Provide risk and opportunity analysis for early capture
  • Manage relationships with one or multiple strategic accounts across a commodity
  • Develop supplier risk and opportunity management plans
  • Establish negotiation strategies for contract awards, spending limits, and qualified supply sources
  • Partner with internal business units and stakeholders to identify sourcing needs and develop sourcing strategies
  • Analyze supplier operations affecting price and lowest cost while maintaining quality, reliability, and schedule requirements
  • Ensure suppliers or commodities meet RTX delivery, quality, and cost requirements
  • Lead, initiate, or participate in supplier assessments and development activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience
  • Experience in the defense industry
  • FAR/DFAR compliance requirements in a Prime defense contractor
  • Experience across the product lifecycle, including capture, development, production, sustainment, and performance based logistics
  • Experience with contract types including USG, DCS, FMS, FFP, and Cost
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • U.S. citizenship is required; only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
  • Prior experience with Circuit Card Assemblies preferred
  • Ability to communicate and present to all levels of the organization
  • Prior leadership of supply chain functional areas and/or Acquisition or Commodity experience highly desirable
  • LTA/MTA documentation requirements in a defense contractor
  • Negotiations experience
  • Prior experience with electronic products and go-to-market approaches
  • Experience with risk and opportunity analysis
  • Experience with SAP
  • Travel up to 10%
