About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure and maintain system performance requirements
- Provide system problem and anomaly resolution support
- Perform data trending and performance analysis
- Support system maintenance activities and specialized engineering projects
- Assign and perform engineering, system analysis, and training tasks
- Analyze system dynamics and determine system behavior
- Develop and improve operations processes, products, and tools
- Investigate and diagnose unexpected system signatures
- Coordinate and execute system maintenance tasks
- Provide technical support and feedback to baseline system development and maintenance teams
- Coordinate across multiple sites, contractor organizations, the customer, and external system partners
- Maintain and develop code for operational and analytical tools
- Develop, maintain, and upgrade training materials
- Deliver classroom lectures on position-related fundamentals and processes
- Complete required system and specialized certification training
- Provide shared on-call support, typically one week per month, including nights, weekends, holidays, and possible shifts
- Work under minimal supervision as part of a badge-less team
- Support extended TDYs or PCS to the United Kingdom
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of prior related engineering experience, or equivalent experience
- Experience with coding and scripting fundamentals
- Experience with Agile and DevOps tools and practices
- Experience with Radio Frequency (RF), Digital, Power, and/or Communication systems in a large 24x7 operational environment
- Experience with technical leadership and/or personnel leadership
- Active and transferable TS/SCI with CI Poly U.S. government-issued security clearance required prior to start date
- U.S. citizenship required because only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance
- Successful completion of the program’s overall system training and specialized training required for the certified position
- Willingness to provide shared on-call support and work nights, weekends, holidays, and possible shifts
- Ability to work effectively as part of a badge-less team, self-motivate, and work under minimal supervision
- Preferred: experience delivering presentations
- Preferred: experience proactively completing assigned and real-time/high-priority tasks without direction
- Preferred: experience managing and resolving large system anomalies in a team environment
- Preferred: experience developing and maintaining operational procedures, products, and training materials
- Preferred: experience in system dynamics, analysis, and determination
- Preferred: experience in coding/scripting
- Preferred: experience developing and maintaining tools to support analysis and tasks
