About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and participate in quality system and product/process audits
Communicate and schedule audits with suppliers and team members
Conduct pre-audit research and planning
Conduct audits
Manage and drive effective analysis and implementation of RCCAs
Handle internal and external communications as required
Create and assist in maintaining audit process standard work
Assist in developing the annual audit schedule
Interact and communicate with various groups and levels of Pratt & Whitney management
Lead and participate in process improvement initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
50–75% domestic/international travel required
Minimum 3 years of audit experience in the aerospace industry
Good understanding of AS9100
ASQ, RABQSA and/or Lead Auditor certifications preferred
Basic knowledge of special processes, manufacturing processes, manufacturing software, inspection processes, engineering, purchasing, programs, contracts, process control, FAI, non-conforming material management and CAR management preferred
Knowledge of collecting, analyzing and transforming process data into meaningful information for senior management preferred
Customer focus, business judgment, adaptability, teaming and communication skills preferred
Applied knowledge and daily use of CORE principles, especially RCCA/8D methodology preferred
Familiarity with industry and Pratt & Whitney engineering, quality and manufacturing requirements, work instructions and quality manuals preferred
U.S. citizenship required; only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
