About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Administer contracts with U.S. government agencies, prime government contractors, foreign governments, and domestic and international commercial customers
  • Negotiate and manage a variety of contract types
  • Initiate, track, and monitor contract changes, deliverables, correspondence, terms and conditions risks and mitigations, and related documentation
  • Manage government, international, and commercial contracts in accordance with company policies, applicable laws, and customer requirements
  • Manage contracts and business relationships with assigned customers
  • Participate in proposal reviews and approvals and brief management on terms and conditions risks and mitigation strategies
  • Review contractual terms and conditions, assess proposal risk and impact, and develop mitigating contract terms
  • Lead and conduct contract negotiation and management
  • Coordinate sales, finance, service, and legal inputs to structure contracts
  • Analyze contracts for compliance with company policies, government specifications, and other requirements
  • Provide contract status, assistance, and business advice to program management and functional teams
  • Close out contracts according to applicable procedures
  • Communicate contract information and maintain complete and accurate contract files
  • Serve as principal interface with internal and external customers on contractual matters and resolve contractual problems
  • Work independently on all but the most complex matters with considerable latitude

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University Degree and minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • Government and commercial contract management experience preferred
  • U.S. citizenship required because only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under the program/contract
  • Strong technical and leadership skills
  • Ability to negotiate and manage varied contract types
  • Knowledge of contractual terms and conditions, risk assessment, and mitigation
  • Ability to work in compliance with company policies, applicable laws, government specifications, and customer requirements
  • Ability to coordinate with sales, finance, service, legal, operations, pricing, and program management teams
  • Ability to work independently with considerable latitude
